block_heater The proof is in the pudding right here folks! If you want that old school feel with a nod to the 2nd wave punk movement, throw in a little tongue-in-cheek lyrics, then this is the pressure cooker meal you've been hungering for! I've been essentially letdown, and I couldn't be happier! Favorite track: Baby Blues.

Mike Joyce This album is nine 50 cent slaps across the face and one 50 cent punch in the dick. I'm in love. I've been listening on repeat for days now. You're making a mistake if you don't pick this album up. This is the kinda album that should be on everyone's top ten punk lists at the end of the year but probably won't because they're too underground and punk writing is dying. For now I'll have to settle with the serenity that bands like this still exist and still come out of nowhere to blow my mind. Favorite track: You're a Letdown too.

Sirens yelling from down the street Two fat pigs sitting in the front seat Large double doubles, look at me like I'm in trouble Good to see what you do with your time Too bad you can't fight real crime Can't catch me, can't run fast With a nightstick shoved way up your ass The Police won't leave me alone Calling me up, blowing up my phone Get me on the street, get me at home The Police won't leave me alone Hands full of doughnuts walking down the street Took me downtown to interrogate me "Where'd you get the doughnuts?" Fat pigs say Locked me up and took my doughnuts away The Police won't leave me alone Calling me up, blowing up my phone Get me on the street, get me at home The Police won't leave me alone Police, try and say I'm drunk I think you're bothering me because I look like a punk Try to get me on the street You try to get me at home The Police never leave me alone

They've got a hold on me, with their fingers curled Trying to take over the entire world They kidnapped Shamu and put her in a chlorine tank And they're trying to take my brain and wipe it blank Dougnut People want my brain Try to make me look insane Want my brain, they want yours too What the fuck are we going to do? Baby Blues (free) 02:14
My girl said she's a God damn Queen I said baby that's really obscene If I ain't no King, then you ain't no god damn Queen Too cool to walk, too cool to talk She called me a rebel without a clue At least I got a clue I'm better off without you She said, she ain't mine, I said baby that's fine I don't want you around anymore anyway You better get out of my life, better stay out of my way Baby baby, stay away from me Baby baby, you gotta leave me be Baby can't you see you ain't getting nothing from me? Baby baby, get off my porch I told you once already before Don't want to see your face come around here anymore I told you once, don't make me tell you twice You better leave my place, before I call the vice Better better turn tail, ya you'd better take my advice Baby baby, don't you realize? I seen the trouble stirring in your eyes And from your mouth all of your dirty lies And now we're done, and we're apart You strained my brain, I broke your heart I should've never bothered with you from the start

about

The term "Power Trash" comes from Paul Westerberg of the Replacements, to describe the Replacements style and sound in their early years. We felt it was fitting as well for us, rather than putting a typical label on our sound and calling it "Punk Rock" because once you label yourself as something, people assume you pretty much have to stick with what that label is described as. Our music is influenced by traditional old school 1977 Punk Rock, followed closely by 80's American and UK Hardcore, with a bit of Skinhead Oi! influence, with an appreciation for classic 50's Rock n Roll and Rockabilly from the 1950's and onwards. Trying to incorporate our influences into our songs, you can hear a distinct difference in most of our songs that jump from straight up Hardcore, right to a cheesy 70's sounding Punk love song, then to end it all with what sounds like a "bastardized" attempt at Rockabilly in our last song. We only hope that some people can understand or appreciate what we were trying to go for, by playing what we call, "Power Trash Rock N Roll" as an attempt at trying something different.

We'd like to thank every Essential Letdown of the past who got us to where we are today: Becky Rees, Dan Chase, Billy Cook, Colton Mowder, and Josh Gaudette, and of course to our current Letdowns in the band today who are carrying the torch, Keaghan Nelson and Roan Byrne. Thanks to the guys at Broken String Entertainment for letting us use their studio to record, and to Nathan Chechock for all his time recording, mixing and making it happen. And special thanks to Natalie Mason for all her dedication to the band and making it more than we dared to imagine, making a lot happen we didn't think possible. And of course, thank you to our contemporaries and friendly adversaries we've met in the music scene from all over, bands like Christ Choker, Nancy Vicious, Play 4 Keeps, Noiz A Noiz, UTL, Fatherbodies, the Rotten, Chachi on Acid, Beaver Slap, the Groggies, Lucy and the Chain Gang, the Nasties, the Scum Runners, Re-Runs of Maury, Discoverson, Mac N Sleaze, and to all our close friends and fans who've come out to our shows time and time again, and inspired us every time to keep this going for so long, cheers!
